Watering holes you can still visit during phase 2 in Singapore

Updated: Nov 30, 2020

Covid-19 in Singapore looks like it is finally in control and infection rates has been low for some time now. Phrase 2 restrictions are still in place at the moment and dining and drinking is still limited to 5 per table and all liquor sales and consumption aren’t allowed past 10.30 PM.

All expectations that Phase 3 would bring about the re-opening of the nightlife industry were dashed when Education Minister Lawrence Wong, the co-chair of the multi-ministry task force of COVID-19, on Tuesday (Oct 20) described the nightlife industry as a 'higher risk' setting and that activities were unlikely to resume even at the start of Phase 3. The announcement will no doubt set many business owners thinking hard about harbouring hopes on continuing operations or shutting down.

For those fortunate enough to not be in the position of nightlife business owners, it means we have to shelf our plans for partying at least for this year. There are however, still nice places out there to chill and have a drink to go home by 10.30 pm.
