2. Second Top Driving Offence - Running a Red Light


23,952 cases of red-light running violations have been reported by the Traffic Police. This only a slight 0.8% decrease over last year’s figure of 24,147.


3. Third top Driving Offence - Drink-Driving


724 drivers have been arrested for drink-driving in the first half of 2021, a 7.7% increase over the 672 in the same timeframe last year.


Accidents caused by drivers under the influence also went up, by 20.3%, from 64 to 77 of 1H 2021.
